The expression of TRIM54 is required for skeletal myoblast differentiation and myotube fusion. It is expressed in heart and skeletal muscle specifically (PMID:11243782). It has two isoforms with the molecular weight of 40KDa and 45KDa. It can be dimerizated and hetero-dimerizated to form homooligomer and heterooligomer (PMID:15967462). |
