| Background Information：PPID(Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D) is also named CYP40, CYPD, and belongs to the cyclophilin-type PPIase family, which accelerates the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. The inactivation of the Ppid gene rescued the disease phenotype of Col6a1 deficiency (PMID:19293339).
