SNAT2 mediates uptake of neutral α-amino acids and are expressed in central neurons (PMID: 19240036). SNAT2 is expressed in breast cancer cell lines. SLC38A2 also acts as a selective target for inhibiting growth of Gln-dependent breast cancer cell lines (PMID: 33028955). |
