It catalyzes the oxidation of dihydrolipoamide, hE3 uses two molecules : non-covalently bound FAD and a transiently bound substrate, NAD+. DLD is involved in the hyperactivation of spermatazoa during capacitation and in the spermatazoal acrosome reaction. |
