| Host / Isotype: Mouse / IgG2a | Background Information: Protein kinase, membrane associated tyrosine/threonine (PKMYT1) is a member of the Wee family of protein kinases. PKMYT1 acts as a negative regulator of the cell cycle by inactivating the CDK1-cyclinB complex through phosphorylation of Tyr14/Tyr15 and preventing cell cycle entering into mitosis at the G2/M transition. In mammalian somatic cells, PKMYT1 affects the assembly of the Golgi apparatus and endoplasmic reticulum during telophase of mitosis by inhibiting cyclin activities. Abnormal expression of PKMYT1 is closely associated with multiple types of cancers. PKMYT1 protein was mainly localized in the cytoplasm. (PMID: 31695486, PMID: 32801781) |
