| Background Information：FAM38B, also named as PIEZO2, is a mechanosensitive, rapidly inactivating (RI) ion channel which is open and converts the mechanical stimulus signals into bioelectrical signals after stimulated by mechanical signals. FAM38B has been recently identified in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons to mediate tactile transduction. It plays an important role in the biological process, maintaining cell metabolism and cell migration.
